My CE Hours Aren't Showing on TDLR. What Now?

Most missing hours are a timing issue or a typo in the license number.

Short answer: Providers have up to 7 days after you finish to report your hours to TDLR (16 TAC §59.51). If it's been longer, look your license up in TDLR's CE Course Look Up, check that the license number on your certificate is right, then contact the provider. TDLR says to go to the provider first.

Step 1: Count the Days

Under 16 TAC §59.51, a provider must file your course completion with TDLR no later than 7 days after you finish, and issue your certificate within 15 days. If you finished yesterday, your hours may simply not be filed yet.

Step 2: Look Yourself Up

TDLR's Continuing Education Course Look Up shows the courses reported against your license. Search by license number.

Step 3: Check the License Number on Your Certificate

This is the most common cause. Providers report against the license number you gave them. One transposed digit and your hours land on someone else's record, or on no record at all. Compare your certificate with your TDLR license card.

Step 4: Make Sure It's the Right Program

An electrical course reports to your electrical license, not your ACR license. If you hold licenses in two programs, see multiple-license rules.

Step 5: Contact the Provider

TDLR says: "If the hours have not been reported, you should contact the provider first to ensure that the hours are reported." Send your name, license number, course name, and completion date.

Step 6: Escalate to TDLR

If the provider doesn't fix it, call TDLR at (512) 463-6599. TDLR also lets you file a complaint against a provider that isn't reporting hours.

How We Handle Reporting

We file completions with TDLR three times a day, so most students show up the same day they finish. Since July 2026, 95% of our TDLR course completions were reported within 12 hours, and 99% within 24 hours. If yours isn't showing after a couple of days, email us with your license number and we'll look it up.
