Pesticide Applicator CEUs in Amarillo, TX
Amarillo anchors the Texas Panhandle, where irrigated corn, wheat, sorghum, and cotton share the High Plains with some of the largest cattle-feeding operations in the country. Crop-protection work here runs from spring burndown through summer fungicide and insecticide passes, and every Texas Department of Agriculture applicator license renews each year with 5 CEUs. Our online TDA-approved course lets Panhandle applicators earn all 5 CEUs on their own schedule instead of driving to an in-person CEU session.

Is there a Panhandle-specific pesticide CEU requirement?
No. TDA sets one statewide requirement: commercial, noncommercial, and NCPS applicators need 5 CEUs per 12-month licensing period, with at least 1 in laws and regulations and at least 1 in IPM or drift minimization. It's the same in Potter and Randall Counties as everywhere else in Texas.
Does the course cover calibration and application equipment?
Yes. One full module covers calibration and application equipment: sprayer components, nozzles, calibrating a boom sprayer, tank-mix math, and cleaning and rinsate.
Can I earn my pesticide CEUs online instead of at an in-person session?
Yes. This course is TDA-approved (course #1000983) and delivered online. One caveat: TDA limits how often self-study and correspondence CEUs can be used to recertify, so online CEUs may not be usable in consecutive years for every license type. Check your license status with TDA before relying on an online course two years running.
Is this course approved by TDLR?
No, and it doesn't need to be. Pesticide applicator licensing in Texas is handled by the Texas Department of Agriculture, not TDLR. We report your completion to TDA for you.
