Pesticide Applicator CEUs in McAllen, TX
The Rio Grande Valley has a near year-round growing season. Citrus groves, onions and other vegetables, sugarcane, cotton, and grain sorghum keep applicators across Hidalgo and Cameron Counties busy nearly every month of the year. That makes it hard to block out a day for an in-person CEU session. Our online TDA-approved course gives Valley applicators all 5 annual CEUs in short video lessons they can finish between jobs.

Is there a Rio Grande Valley-specific pesticide CEU requirement?
No. TDA's requirement is statewide: commercial, noncommercial, and NCPS applicators need 5 CEUs per 12-month licensing period. Applicators in Hidalgo, Cameron, and the rest of the Valley follow the same rules as the rest of Texas.
Does the course cover worker protection and PPE?
Yes. Laws and Regulations covers the Worker Protection Standard, and a separate module covers pesticide safety, PPE, and emergency response, including heat safety, which matters in Valley conditions.
Can I earn my pesticide CEUs online instead of at an in-person session?
Yes. This course is TDA-approved (course #1000983) and delivered online. One caveat: TDA limits how often self-study and correspondence CEUs can be used to recertify, so online CEUs may not be usable in consecutive years for every license type. Check your license status with TDA before relying on an online course two years running.
Is this course approved by TDLR?
No, and it doesn't need to be. Pesticide applicator licensing in Texas is handled by the Texas Department of Agriculture, not TDLR. We report your completion to TDA for you.
