Pesticide Applicator CEUs in Corpus Christi, TX
The Coastal Bend farmland around Corpus Christi is dryland row-crop country: cotton, grain sorghum, and corn across Nueces, San Patricio, and Kleberg Counties. Applicators here schedule spray work around coastal wind, which makes drift management part of the job. Every Texas Department of Agriculture applicator license renews each year with 5 CEUs, and our online TDA-approved course covers all of them, including a full module on drift minimization.

Is there a Coastal Bend-specific pesticide CEU requirement?
No. TDA sets the requirement statewide: 5 CEUs per 12-month licensing period for commercial, noncommercial, and NCPS applicators, with at least 1 in laws and regulations and at least 1 in IPM or drift minimization.
Does the course help with spraying in windy coastal conditions?
Yes. The drift minimization module covers wind speed and direction, droplet size, nozzle choice, temperature inversions, and buffer zones, plus how to read and follow a label's drift directions.
Can I earn my pesticide CEUs online instead of at an in-person session?
Yes. This course is TDA-approved (course #1000983) and delivered online. One caveat: TDA limits how often self-study and correspondence CEUs can be used to recertify, so online CEUs may not be usable in consecutive years for every license type. Check your license status with TDA before relying on an online course two years running.
Is this course approved by TDLR?
No, and it doesn't need to be. Pesticide applicator licensing in Texas is handled by the Texas Department of Agriculture, not TDLR. We report your completion to TDA for you.
